Sunday, July 26, 2009 – YAPA sponsored a professional development workshop titled “Investing Your Money in This Volatile Economy” presented by Tiya Lim, Investment Strategy Manager for Buckingham Asset Management and UBS Financial Services, Advisor and Investment Management Consultant, Maria Briggs. These two experts, with over 25 years of combined experience, provided insights into the state of the national and world economies and smart tips on investing in various financial vehicles. We would like to thank Buckingham Asset Management, Clayton, MO for providing the facilities to hold this event. YAPA is committed to bringing its members quality educational professional development workshops, sharing expertise and strengthening overall professional relationships within the YAPA community.

1st Annual YAPA “Summer Fun in the Sun” Picnic/BBQ – July 19, 2009

Sunday, July 19, 2009 - YAPA held its first Annual Summer Fun in the Sun BBQ in conjunction with Dillon International agency celebrating their 37 year anniversary. The agency is a licensed, not-for-profit child placement organization that has specialized in international adoption since its beginning in 1972.  YAPA is excited to be a resource for Dillon families to connect with the Asian community in St. Louis and we hope that the Dillon children will look at our members as strong role models.  Over 120 kids and adults participated in this event that included various games for the kids such as breaking the piñata, burlap sack race, bolo toss, and water balloon chase and of course delicious BBQ!
